Program Description: Ethics & Professionalism in Representing Victims of Crime examines the nuances in ethical obligations between prosecutors and private attorneys, especially when working with survivors/victims of intimate partner violence. The presentation is also helpful for advocates and paralegals, who work with survivors/victims of intimate partner violence in understanding their ethical obligations, especially in the context of client relationships and unauthorized practice of law. The presenters of this CLE include a former prosecutor who founded and now serves as the chief executive of a legal services organization and a supervisory staff attorney who oversees the day-to-day operations of that organization.
