The CVHR holds certain values high, and strives to recognize and embody those values in its daily work. Our values are reflected in our organizational seal.
The CVHR seal is on a blue background because blue symbolizes justice, the ideal that all people would like to see a just world.
The main part of the seal is the directional compass, reminding us that our mission is not limited, but rather requires us to think creatively.
The compass is sharp-pointed because it reminds us that our work is often difficult but nevertheless important.
The red in the directional star represents courage to stand up for those with no voice.
The yellow represents that we should always uphold the highest ethical ideals.
The scales represent the balance of justice to remind ourselves that while our goals are to take care of the client, we must balance this with ethical considerations and notions of justice generally.
